Take 20-Hour Bail Agent Pre-Licensing Before or After Applying For Open Jobs at Bail Agencies in California?
Things to Consider:
Employers or persons in hiring positions have numerous considerations when sorting through job applications: will an applicant or new hire need the pre-licensing course and lodging paid or, or has an applicant completed pre-licensing before applying; has an applicant already passed the California State Bail Exam, or do we hire someone who may have difficulty passing the test?
Some employers require new hires to complete pre-licensing and pass the bail exam at new employees' own expenses with the understanding that the employees will be reimbursed after 12 to 18 months on the job. Yet, others will cover all costs for all parts of securing the Bail Agent and/or Bail Fugitive Recovery Agent license or licenses.
The California Penal Code §832 40 Hours Powers of Arrest course, completed through a P.O.S.T. accredited college, is a required certification for those persons who are pursuing the California Bail Fugitive Recovery License or who do or will be working with licensed bounty hunters.
Another less known credential that is
very valuable in the California Bail Bond Industry is the California Notary
Commission.
The great news is that there are more positions that may need to be filled that don't require a certification or state license. Please see below.
Jobs and Who’s Interviewing for New Hires
Bail agencies are also in need of independent contractors and employees in the following positions: paralegals, attorneys, administrative, advertising, web design, Marketing & SEO experts, court runners, collections, bail agents, bail enforcement agents, risk management, liability mitigation, law and motion drafters & court appearances for non-incorporated Mom & Pops shops, and with career ladders to climb into upper management positions.
There are larger corporate bail agencies and smaller sole proprietorships in the bail industries.
There are mission specific bail fugitive recovery operations that specialize in helping co-signers save their money and real property put up for collateral concerning their friends, family, and other loved ones who jumped bail and are actively fugitives from justice. These too are actively hiring on a continuous basis.
